Elaine Proctor

Elaine ProcterElaine’s first novel, Rhumba, was published in 2012 (Quercus Books/Jonathan Ball).  Her second book, The Savage Hour followed in 2014, (Quercus/Jonathan Ball).  Her new work, The Love Factory is due for publication by Quercus Books in 2017.

Elaine made numerous political documentaries in her native South Africa before graduating from the National Film and Television School in the UK with her first feature film ON THE WIRE (British Film Institute award for best first film). She then wrote and directed the feature films FRIENDS (official selection of the Cannes film festival, Mention Speciale Prix De La Camera D’Or) and KIN, both distributed globally to critical acclaim.
