Susan Brigden

SusanBrigdenSusan is Paul Langford Fellow and Tutor at Lincoln College, Oxford and Reader in History in the University of Oxford.  Her first book was London and the Reformation (Clarendon Press, 1989).  Her  New Worlds, Lost Worlds: The Rule of the Tudors 1485-1603 (Penguin Press, 2000) garnered fabulous acclaim. Her new book is Thomas Wyatt: the Heart’s Forest, a brilliant exploration of the poet Thomas Wyatt at the court of Henry VIII and as resident ambassador at the court of Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor, at the time of the great upheavals of the Reformation.  Faber published to excellent reviews in 2012 and it won the Wolfson History Prize.
