JonathonGloverThis distinguished philosopher’s Humanity: The Twentieth Century Moral History, which studies what lessons can be learned from the psychology of 20th Century atrocities, was published by Jonathan Cape and Yale in the US and continues to sell brilliantly. His books include Causing Death and Saving Lives, What sort of People Should There Be  and Choosing Children: Genes,Disability and Design. For thirty years he taught at New College, Oxford, and since 1998 has been Professor at the Centre of Medical Law and Ethics at King’s College London.
