Robert Hutton in the UK political correspondent for Bloomberg News, for which he tries to make sense of the British political system. He is author of two books, Romps, Tots and Boffins – The Strange Language of News (Elliott & Thompson, 2013) and Would They Lie to You? How to Spin Friends and Manipulate People (Elliott & Thompson, 2014), which were both shortlisted for the Political Book Of The Year awards. Before he joined Bloomberg, Hutton worked on the Daily Mirror and the Financial Times.  In 2015, he was elected chairman of the Parliamentary Press Gallery. He appears regularly on Bloomberg Television and other TV and radio outlets. He is also an active tweeter, with over 10,000 followers on Twitter. He is married with two sons, and lives in south-east London. His book about one of Britain’s greatest, but until now, unknown secret agents, Agent Jack: The True Story of MI5’s Secret Nazi Hunter, will be published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in the UK in 2018.
