Simon Hall

simon_hallwebSimon Hall joined the history department at the University of Leeds in 2003, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer. His academic research has focused largely on the post-war United States, especially the freedom movements of the 1960s. Simon, who was once compared by a particularly enthusiastic reviewer to Alexis de Tocqueville, is currently writing a history of the extraordinary series of uprisings, revolutions and rebellions that occurred worldwide during 1956, to be published in the UK by Faber in 2015. It has also sold in Germany to Klett-Otta and in Holland to Spectrum.
